THIS PAGE NOW REDUNDANT From the start, the BNTVA and I agreed that the best way to  help veterans was to get the Government to undertake an  extensive and meaningful health needs analysis, to ensure the  needs of veterans and their descendents were being assessed  and addressed. After a long Parliamentary campaign by the  Association and myself spanning some years, the new Coalition  Government agreed to undertake such an analysis on all  veterans. This is now ongoing and is the first of its kind. Nearly  900 questionnaires have been sent out and the 70% response has been  fantastic, This includes the 112 people who attended meetings around the  country as part of the analysis. The report will run into hundreds of pages and  we await the results with interest. I continue to represent the BNTVA in Parliament and my door is always open –  as the Association Secretary knows!
